Wind Tower Systems Strengthens Its Engineering Function With Vice President of Engineering Hire

Heber City, Utah – January 21, 2007 – Wind Tower Systems (WTS) today announced the addition of David Oliphant to the position of Vice President of Engineering.

“The addition of David Oliphant is a significant step as WTS moves to full commercialization of our Space Frame towers and Lifting System”, said Tracy Livingston, chief executive officer of Wind Tower Systems. “David’s expertise and experience complement the talented engineering team in place and will help ensure the timeliness and quality of our products as we roll them out into the wind energy marketplace”.

As vice president of engineering, David will be responsible to ensure that WTS’s innovative Space Frame tower and Lifting System’s meet all customer technical and schedule requirements. David will be also responsible for defining and implementing WTS’s ongoing mission to produce innovative damped tower systems and integrated lifting technologies to provide larger and more cost efficient utility-scale towers and off-shore adaptations.

About David Oliphant

Mr. Oliphant is a seasoned engineering executive who offers a rare combination of technology expertise, technical teambuilding, and business acumen skills. Most recently he was VP of Engineering for IsoTruss Structures, where he drove customer-based product changes and setup a fabrication facility and technical engineering team in Sri Lanka. Mr. Oliphant has extensive experience in structural systems requiring competence in fluid dynamics, stress analysis, and 3D modeling tools. He is an inventor on 14 issued patents, and earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
